This has led to a wide variety of games on the platform, including role-playing games, racing games, simulations, and more.
The platform’s game creation system allows users to create games using the Lua programming language. Robux appears similar to a non-fungible token ( NFT ), is distributed similarly to an NFT, and can be resold like an NFT. Robux can be purchased with real money or earned through in-game activities and achievements. Roblox is free to play, but users can purchase Robux, the virtual currency used in the game, to unlock additional features, items, and accessories. As per a recent financial report, more than 50% of the total users of Roblox are aged 12 years or younger.
The platform has over 200 million active users worldwide and is particularly popular among children and teenagers.
